This week we did a lot of stuff and somehow I have to try to fit it all into 15 minutes.
We taught Jay again with simon and Devon actually which was pretty cool. Devon is one of our recent converts. Simon and Devon just got married this last week. And now they are totally missionary minded. They invited Jay to come over to their place for a lesson and then we randomly received a call from Simon saying that he wanted to come out with us. So we let him come out with us and teach people. Man they are so awesome. But yeah we taught Jay and just read out of the Book of Mormon. This week we hope to set a baptismal date with him.
We taught this lady named Minnie this last week. We've been teaching her for a while but she wouldn't commit to coming to church. We brought Simon to the appointment with us and he was able to ask her just the right questions and she felt comfortable sitting next to him at church so she came to church. Actually she walked about 2 miles to get there. We told her we could give her a ride but she refused saying she wanted to get her excercise. Sure enough she showed up to church.
At church I gave a talk in the Waldport Branch and Elder Thomas gave a talk in the Newport ward. So like normal we split up. Both our talks went pretty well. At church in Waldport a pretty amazing thing happened. So last week we baptized a girl named Ashleigh and we taught her all the lessons in a lady's house named Lulu. Lulu is a super awesome recent convert who is also extremely missionary minded. Her mother (who was present for Ashleigh's lessons) came to church yesterday. Well we had talked to her before about taking the lessons and she declined but for some reason while we were teaching Ashleigh, she felt the spirit and now she wants to take the lessons from us. It was pretty incredible.
Well I'm sorry to cut it short today but me and Elder Thomas have to head out to Corvallis today so we can have interviews with President Young. I love you all very much!!!!!!!
