A week of lessons with a member present

We got a lot of lessons with a member present this week. But that is besides the point we also had a lot of fun and amazing times. So last week I talked about how there was a girl named Amy that came to church. Well she is doing awesome. The other day we had a lesson with her and we invited her to be baptized on April 8th!!!! It was incredible. Then later that week we had another lesson. We asked her how far she had read in the Book of Mormon and she said she was on page 509....we were like oh thats awesome. We assumed that she had just started in 3 Nephi 11 and continued til Ether. So we said you should start from the beginning and start reading the whole thing. She said, "yeah that's what I did." WOW! I don't think I've ever had an investigator that read that much of the Book of Mormon in such a small amount of time. I mean we just met her 2 weeks ago! Miracles! She is going out of town for spring break and so we gave her a ton of reading material. Gospel Principles, True to the Faith, the whole lot. She said she is going to be driving a lot so she will be able to read more of it.

Also we started to teach this guy named Anthony. He is the Boyfriend of one of the members. We set a date with him to be baptized on April 8th as well. Man that will be an awesome Easter Sunday. Two baptisms! Well he seems ready to learn and wants to know more.

Ok coolest story in the world. So we are trying to get this less-active girl to come to church named Caitlyn. So we wanted to bring a member with us to fellowship her. So we were looking at all the members we have in that same apartment complex and then an brilliant idea struck Elder Peterson. He suggested that we bring Whitney, our investigator. She's the one that loves the gospel but just refuses to set a date. So we brought her with us and we sat down and taught the Plan of Salvation. Then at the end she said, well I don't want to go to the celestial Kingdom unless my family is there. Then Whitney stepped in and said "you shouldn't hold yourself back from having something amazing in your life.....(then the clouds parted and the light descended).....and I probably shouldn't hold myself back either." It was crazy! In a good way. Well the next lesson we had with Whitney she told us she wants to be a missionary. We said well Whitney you have to be baptized to do that. We also said "Whitney we have invited you to be baptized a lot and you have said no every time. We are tired of inviting you." We then taught her how to fast and committed her to fast about a date she should be baptized and she agreed. She now is out of town (like many of our people) for spring break. So when she gets back she will be ready.

Alright well that will about do it for me. Please enjoy life because it is so fantastic.
