The Bi-Polar week of INSANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the way I describe this week. Let me take you on the wild roller coaster of a week. It started out AMAZING. Tuesday was literally the best day I've had in the mission yet. We went out tracting and we brought a soon to be missionary with us. We picked up two new investigators who seemed pretty solid. We gave them Book of Mormons and they said they would read. Then we went to a different street and met a spanish lady named Maria. She let us in even though she couldn't speak English very well. We taught her the first lesson as best we could. And she accepted a Book of Mormon. We also had lessons all planned out and everything seemed to work out just the way we planned it. Tuesday was an awesome day.
Then Wednesday came along. We were all pumped and excited for another good day. Unfortunately a lot of our plans fell through. But we did get to teach Dean and Darleen again so that was positive. So Wednesday was a mediocre day.
Then Thursday came along. *PLOP* Thursday was the worst day of my mission so far. We had an excellent day planned out and we even made "plan-B's" just in case our original plans fell through. Well let me just tell you, EVERYTHING fell through. We could not do ANYTHING. We counted and we got all the way to plan M! No joke. It was not a good day for missionary work. I was feeling real down and I forgot about all the success that we had earlier in the week.
Friday was another mediocre day. But then Saturday came along. Saturday helped me remember all the success we had during the week and helped me get back on track and get discouraged. We had a "district tract" for our area. So we had two other companionships come to Dallas and we all tracted different streets. At first our tracting wasn't doing very good but at the very end. I prayed that we would be able to find someone that was willing to listen. I then felt prompted to knock on some appartments. So we did. The first door we knocked on was this lady who is already a baptised member but hasn't come to church in like 20 years. She was very nice to us and said she was looking for a church for her grandaughter to go to. She gave us her phone number and said call her so we can set up an appointment. AWESOME! The Lord really does answer prayers and if you have the faith to listen to promptings he can lead you to people who are searching. I tell you this work is awesome.
We had another experience this week that was really cool. We saw this name in the ward list that nobody really seemed to know so we decided to drop by and see what was up. This guy answered the door and said he would listen to us. He was really cool and told us about how he broke his back. We talked for a while and then we asked him if he would like to come to church. He said he would but he didn't have any church clothes. So we said that we would get him clothes so he could go to church. So we got him some clothes and he is planning on going to chuch here in the near future.
So this week was very bi-polar. Even the weather was bi-polar. It was warm one day and the next in would snow. It was wierd. Anyways, we didn't really get a chance to teach too many of our investigators this week cuz they are either sick or busy or whatever. This week we will be meeting with them and I am totally excited. So basically this week has been all about finding and not too much about teaching. Which is ok. And yeah I have to go. Thanks for all your prayers. I love you!!!!!!!!!!!
